Steps for Work Experience

Work experience is a great way to build your resume.

Before you can DO work experience - you MUST do the following:

  1. Complete the relevant paperwork:
    • Work Experience Arrangement Form - signatures from:
      • you
      • parents
      • employer
      • Principal (Mrs Scadden with organise)
    • Work Experience Travel & Accommodation Form (if applicable) signatures required from
      • employer
      • parent
      • you
    • Working with Animals paperwork (if applicable)
    • Resume (Year 10 upwards)
    • Letter of application (optional)
  2. Complete the OH&S Certificates
    • General
    • Industry Specific (eg. Hospitality / Plumbing / Electrical)
  3. Give the above paperwork to Mrs Scadden (AT LEAST ONE WEEK BEFORE)
  4. Collect a package of information from Mrs Scadden before you go on work experience.
FYI: If you don't give the paperwork to Mrs Scadden - you cannot do work experience! OR, if you GO to 'work experience' without doing the paperwork - this is NOT called work experience at all - it is called 'wagging' (or parent arranged absence).
